Description

BRIGSTOCK CAUSIN WAY SP98NE (West side) 3/46 Well House and attached basin 23/05/67 approx. 100m. SW of Fermyn Woods Hall (Formerly listed as Well House) - II

Well house and attached basin. c.1828 for the Ladies Fitzpatrick. Limestone ashlar. Octagonal plan. Perpendicular style. Panelled sides with cusping and shields. Ogee crocketed domed head with castellated cornice and fishscale decoration to the panels. Gargoyles at the corners. Lion head spout on front and iron pump handle to rear. Side panels have initials of the Ladies Fitzpatrick. Rectangular stone basin, in similar style, is attached to the front.
