Description
The Holy Well is a well house and well built in 1840. It is constructed from ironstone ashlar and features a moulded string course, cornice, and a coped parapet, all contributing to its Grecian style. The building has a flat roof and a central doorway that is partly below ground level, leading down steps to the well. The doorway is topped with a shaped lintel that bears an illegible inscription and is adorned with roundels of carved flowers. Additionally, there is a simplified pediment featuring a flower roundel and antefixae. Inside, there is a stone-vaulted well chamber.
