Description
Inglenook is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and has a pantile roof. The house originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range. The ground floor features 20th-century casement windows set in original moulded stone surrounds, complete with central stone mullions and hood moulds. The central window on the first floor is a 19th-century casement with a similar moulded stone surround, while the windows to the left and right are 20th-century casements beneath Lincolnshire dormers. The central door, which is also from the 20th century, has a square head with a moulded stone surround, and there is another 20th-century door under a concrete lintel to the far right. The house has ashlar gable parapets aligned with the party walls, featuring a finial on the right. A brick and stone stack is located on the left side, and there is a lateral stone stack on the rear elevation. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have an open fireplace with a bressumer.
