Description

West Lodge Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse built for Ecton Hall Estate. It is constructed of squared coursed lias, with a plain-tile roof. The building follows a T-shaped plan and has two storeys with an attic. The main front has a four-window arrangement of casement windows with glazing bars, each with a wooden lintel. To the left is a six-panel door with glazed top lights, sheltered by a wooden porch. A 19th-century French door, also with a wooden porch, is located to the right. The roof features three stone gabled dormers. Ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks are present at the ridge and end of the building. A matching 19th-century wing extends from the rear.
