Description

This building is a studio located approximately 10 meters south of Number 20, known as The Thatched House. It dates from the early 19th century and was originally built as stables and a coach house. The structure is made of squared coursed ironstone and features a slate roof.

The central part of the building is a two-storey coach house, flanked by one-unit stables that have haylofts above. There is a central carriage arch with a segmental head, which has been fitted with a 20th-century glazed screen. Above this arch is a circular opening surrounded by ashlar stone. The original stable and hayloft doors have been replaced with 20th-century windows and doors. The carriage house has a pyramid roof, while the flanking wings feature hipped roofs. This building is included for its group value.
