Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory that has been converted into a house, dating from the mid 18th century and 19th century. It is constructed of lias and limestone ashlar, as well as brick, and features slate roofs. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall. The main front has a five-window range, with the centre bay projecting forward. This bay includes a central 20th-century glazed door framed by a limestone ashlar surround from the 18th century. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are also surrounded by limestone ashlar. There is a limestone ashlar band that runs between the floors, and the gable ends are finished with ashlar parapets and kneelers, along with brick and stone stacks at each end. At the rear, there is a mid-19th-century three-storey brick extension. The interior has not been inspected.
