Description
The flight of steps with urns, located approximately 90 meters east of the east front of Drayton House, dates from the early 18th century. The urns are likely crafted by J. Van Nost for Sir John Germain. The steps are made of limestone ashlar and are flanked by ashlar parapets. There are eight lead urns mounted on the parapet. This feature is aligned on the east/west axis of the east front of Drayton House. The gardens surrounding this area are included in the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens at grade I.
