Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 30 meters north of Manor Farmhouse in Wingrave with Rowsham. It features a timber frame and weatherboard construction set on a rubble stone and brick plinth. The right-hand bays have a front pitch covered with old tiles, while the rear and the two left bays are topped with a corrugated iron roof. The roof is hipped on the right side and half-hipped on the left. The barn consists of six bays, with a gabled projecting waggon entry in the third bay. Inside, there are braced tie beams, arcade plates, queen strut trusses, curved wind-braces, and some original rafters. The right-hand bays also include a later lean-to with a corrugated iron roof at the front.
