Description

61 Green End Street is a 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with brick infill and much of the ground floor has been refaced in brick. There is a brick wing to the northwest, an old tiled roof that is half-hipped at the northeast gable with painted plaster infill above the tie beam, a large central brick chimney stack, and a smaller second stack at the end of the northwest wing. A gabled dormer is present on the southeast roofslope. The house is two stories with an attic and has a T-shaped plan.

The southeast elevation has a door in the center opposite the chimney, a modern three-light casement window to the left, and segmental arches; to the right, there is a three-light leaded upper casement window. Attached to the left is a range of one-story outbuildings. The northeast elevation facing the road has a gable to the left, a four-light casement window on the ground floor, and a two-light window above. In the center, there is a large modern gabled enclosed porch, with the northwest wing set back to the right, featuring a first-floor band, a four-light casement window on the ground floor, a two-light leaded casement above, and a bricked-up two-light casement window to the right.
