Description

This is an 18th-century house located on London Road in Aston Clinton. The house is constructed of painted brick with an old tiled mansard roof, flanked by chimneys and featuring gable and front parapets. Two 3-light sash dormers are present, each with a lead top. The building has one storey and an attic. It has five bays, each with sash windows retaining their original glazing bars, set within flat-headed wooden frames beneath segmental brick arches. The ground floor windows have flush-panelled shutters. A central entrance features a 6-panelled flush door with a rectangular fanlight displaying a concentric and radiating glazing pattern, a moulded architrave, flat-cut brackets, and a moulded cornice, leading up four stone steps. A single-bay wing is attached to the right-hand side, containing one sash window and a tiled roof. The house follows a double-pile plan. The rear elevation displays three upper sash windows, the central one being smaller, all with blind boxes. A one-storey modern rear wing has been added.
