Description

Mill Croft is a 17th-century house, altered in later periods. It is constructed of painted brick, with a timber-framed section, a stone plinth, and a plain tile roof featuring a central ridge and a stack on the left side. The house has a T-shaped plan, with the gable facing to the left. The left gable showcases principal wall posts and a queen post truss. It originally contained a 2-light, a 2-light, and a 3-light casement window. The front façade is largely 19th century, incorporating an outshut porch in the angle. Ground floor windows to the right consist of a 1-light and a 2-light casement. The right end of the building has a 3-light window on the first floor, with a 2-light window above and below. The left end reveals two bays of timber framing, with a ground floor 1-light window. On the rear, the main range displays a 4x3 panel timber-framed section, with a 2-light window above and a 3-light window below. A projecting gable, featuring principal wall posts, a roof truss, and 2 2-light windows on both floors, extends two panels. A door is located within the angle.
