Description

Croft Cottage is a 17th and 18th century cottage located on Packington Mill Street. The cottage is constructed of painted and rendered brick with a stone plinth and has a plain tile and pantile roof, with a gable facing forward. It features central ridge and end stacks. The front elevation has two storeys with renewed casements, including 4 and 1-light windows, as well as a perch window. A 3-light casement is found in an extension to the right, and another 3-light window is at the rear. A 20th-century extension projects from the left end of the front facade. Inside, the cottage contains an inglenook and chamfered ceiling beams, along with a truss in the right-end gable. The building is listed for its group value with the adjacent Mill Croft.
