Description

This is a 17th-century cottage, altered subsequently. It was formerly known as Blenheim Cottage. The building is likely timber-framed, but the frame is now covered with plaster and painted. It has a thatched roof, half-hipped on the southwest side, and a central brick chimney. The cottage is two storeys high, with an irregular pattern of modern casement windows. A modern gabled porch is situated in the centre of the building; the gable ends have a single three-light casement window on each floor. The building is recorded in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments volume I, page 21, and is mentioned in the Monumentary and Archaeological Society record 13.
