Description

The dovecote at Gate Cottage, dating from the 18th to early 19th century, has undergone significant renovations in the 20th century. It serves as both a dovecote and a garage. The structure features a timber frame with weatherboarding and pyramid tiled roofs. The lower stage has three bays that are open to the front, supported by curved braces to the wall-plate. Rising from the center is a square tower topped with a similar turret. Each side of the turret has nine arched entries designed for doves.
