Description

Horsenden Manor is a large house dating from 1810. The exterior is whitewashed render with a band course marking the first floor, wide flat eaves supported by shallow paired brackets, and a hipped slate roof. Whitewashed rendered chimneys rise from the structure. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The north front has five bays, featuring three-pane sash windows and small tilting attic windows. A double half-glazed door is centrally positioned within a Doric porch supported by four whitewashed rendered columns and an entablature. Each end of the north front has a bowed projection containing three bays of tall paired wooden casements. A lower, two-storey service wing of whitewashed brick adjoins the right-hand projection. The south front presents three bays with sashes; the centre bay is slightly advanced with a Venetian window above a glazed door within a pedimented Doric porch.
