Description
The Post Office at No. 15 and No. 16 in Bradenham Village is a pair of houses dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries, and an extension added to the right side in the 1930s. The building features a timber frame with brick infill on the first floor of the right gable. The front has been rebuilt, with the original outer bays constructed from flint and brick dressings, while the center bay is made of brick with a course of blue headers at the first floor level. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a central chimney with attached shafts made of thin brick, along with later brick chimneys at each end. The structure is two stories tall and consists of four bays. The windows are 20th-century barred wooden casements, with a three-light window in the left bay and two-light windows in the remaining bays. There are two paired wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars on the first floor of the third bay. The entrance features two 20th-century board doors between the left bays, and another door with a trellis porch to the right of the third bay. There are lean-to extensions at the rear.
