Description
Nos. 63 and 65 on Temple Street are a pair of houses dating from the late 16th to 17th century, with some parts rebuilt in the early 19th century. The houses have a timber frame with brick infill at the rear of the left bays, while the rest is rebuilt in red brick and pebbledashed at the front and right gable. The front features a band course, traces of dentil eaves on the left bays, and some rubble stone in the plinth on the right. The roofs are tiled, and there is a chimney with a row of four diagonal shafts made of thin brick to the right of center. The buildings are two storeys high with three bays, the right bay being slightly lower. The windows are 20th-century wooden casements with two and three lights, and those on the ground floor have segmental heads. There is a board door to the left of the right bay, with the entry to No. 63 located at the rear. A lean-to is present on the right side, and the ground floor center room features stop-chamfered cross beams.
