Description
Thrift Cottage is a house dated 1788, constructed of flint with narrow brick dressings. It features offset eaves, an old tiled roof, and an off-centre brick chimney. The building has one storey and an attic, divided into two bays. The ground floor has paired barred wooden casements with segmental heads, while the upper floor features casements in gabled eaves-line dormers. There is a half-glazed door to the right, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled trellis porch. An imperial fire insurance plaque is also present. The left end of the cottage has a lean-to made of brick and weatherboard, and the right gable displays some ornamental bottle ends. At the rear, there is a small gabled wing.
