Description
This description is for a pair of attached barns located to the west and northwest of Manor Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. The barns are constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, resting on flint plinths, and feature half-hipped roofs covered with old tiles. The layout is L-shaped. The western barn consists of four bays and has an off-centre gabled cart entry, with trusses that include braced tie beams and small raking queen posts. The northwest barn has eight bays and features gabled cart entries in the penultimate bays, along with a large 20th-century tractor shed projecting between the barns and a lean-to on the right side. It also has curved principal trusses with braced tie beams. There is a small extension at the western end, with a rear wall made of concrete blocks. These barns are included for their group value with the Manor Farmhouse.
