Description
White Cottage is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with a 19th-century extension. Originally a shop, it features a timber frame with colourwashed brick infill and a half-hipped tiled roof. The building is one storey and has an attic, consisting of 1½ bays. The gable end facing the road includes three-light wooden casements on the left side for both the ground floor and attic, along with a horizontal sliding sash window on the right side of the ground floor. There is a board door in the center. A lateral chimney is part of the 19th-century single-storey extension on the right, which is made of colourwashed brick and includes a large horizontal sliding sash window and a stable-type door. The rear gable has been rebuilt in colourwashed brick. Inside, there is a slight timber partition wall and a winder staircase.
