Description
The Old Dairy is a house that originated as a 17th-century cottage and was altered and extended in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick infill on the left gable and was refronted in the 19th century with colourwashed brick. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left, with a central chimney made of colourwashed brick. The building has one storey and an attic, with two irregular bays.
On the ground floor, there are two barred sash windows and one 20th-century leaded cross-casement window, all featuring segmental heads. The first floor has a three-light leaded casement window in the center. A 20th-century door is located in the left gable. There is an outshot at the rear. The 19th-century extension to the right is constructed of colourwashed brick, has dentilled eaves, and a slate roof. This extension is two storeys high, with a leaded cross-casement window on the ground floor to the left, a barred sash window to the right, and a similar sash window on the first floor, all with segmental heads. The extension has been extended to the rear in the 20th century.
