Description

Sparrows Thatch is a house dating to the 17th century, with subsequent alterations. It is timber-framed with whitewashed render and brick infill. The front of the left-hand bays has been rebuilt in whitewashed brick, while a rubble stone plinth is visible at the rear. The roof is of old tiles, previously thatched, with a half-hip to the left. Brick chimneys are situated between the left-hand bays and externally to the right. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It features irregular single and two-light wooden casements, with a 20th-century semi-dormer in a tiled eyebrow on the upper left. A 20th-century gabled porch provides access between the right-hand bays. A 20th-century single-storey extension, constructed of whitewashed brick with a slate roof and shallow gable, projects from the left bay.
