Description
No. 23 Green End is a small house dating from the 16th to 17th century, consisting of two builds. It features a timber frame with diagonal braces and whitewashed rendered infill, while the front is rendered and planked. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the right. A central brick chimney stack has two rectangular shafts linked at the top. The house has one main storey and two storeys in the roof, with two bays. The right-hand bay is slightly taller and was built later. There are 20th-century three-light leaded casements, with those on the first floor located in gabled eaves-line dormers. The second attic storey has a 20th-century paired wooden casement in the right gable. The entrance is central with a 20th-century lean-to porch. To the right gable, there is a small single-storey extension that is rendered and tiled, along with a lean-to extension at the rear.
