Description

Harvest Cottage and Old Rose Cottage are a pair of houses likely dating from the early 19th century, although they stand on the site of an older building. The front of the houses were refaced in the early 19th century using red and vitreous brick, which are irregularly bonded, with dentil eaves. The rear walls are a combination of flint and brick. The roof is tiled, with a hipped design over the front and a steeper pitch at the rear, and features a central brick chimney. The houses are two storeys high and two bays wide. The first floor has wooden casement windows with single horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor windows have been altered; one is a 20th-century casement to the left, and the right bay has a three-light and two-light casement. A 20th-century door is present on the left, and another door is located in the right side of the building. The ground floor window openings have cambered heads. The buildings are included on the list for their contribution to the group value of the surrounding area.
