Description
This building comprises a barn and stables located at the west end of the farmyard range, 40 meters south of Colstrope Farmhouse. The barn is dated 1739 on a post, while the stable was built in the later 18th century. The barn features a flint plinth and a west gable end, with timber-framed and weatherboarded side walls, topped with a plain tile roof. It has three bays and was formerly aisled on the south side, with central cart doors and brick vent slits in the gable end. Inside, it has queen post trusses with braced tie-beams. The stable is constructed of flint with brick dressings and also has a tiled roof. It includes a central stable door, flanking windows, and two gabled eaves-line dormers, both boarded, with the right dormer featuring dove entries.
