Description
Howe Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1700 that has been altered over time. The front is made of brick, which was once whitewashed, while the right side is rendered and extended. The rear features flint with brick dressings and has wide rusticated brick pilasters at the corners. The roof is hipped and covered with old tiles, and there are brick chimneys. The house is double pile, with two storeys, an attic, and a cellar.
The south front has three bays, with the left bay being a 19th-century extension. The left bay contains 20th-century French doors and a sash window above. The centre bay features three-pane and single-pane sashes on the first floor, along with a half-glazed door that has a semi-circular fanlight, a brick arch, and an arched wire porch. The right bay has an external chimney and is pierced by a 20th-century glazed door.
On the right side, there is a single-storey 20th-century projection, two three-pane sashes in moulded frames on the first floor, and two flat-roofed dormers with paired barred wooden casements. There are also 20th-century openings at the rear and 20th-century extensions on the left side.
