Description

Elmdown Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 20th century. The original bays feature ground floor walls rebuilt in flint with brick dressings, while the upper section has timber framing with brick infill and is planked at the rear. The roof is covered with old tiles, and there is a brick chimney on the right side. The building is two storeys tall with two bays. On the ground floor left and the first floor, there are 20th-century three-light wooden casements, and to the right, there is a 20th-century door with a flat wooden hood. To the left is a 18th to 19th-century bay made of flint with narrow brick dressings and an old tile roof, which is one storey and has an attic, featuring irregular single lights and a small gabled eaves-line dormer, as well as a blocked door to the right. A 20th-century brick extension of two storeys projects to the right.
