Description
Peartree Cottage is a house dating from the 17th to early 18th century, with part of it rebuilt in the 19th century. The front features a timber frame with old brick infill and a flint plinth, along with weatherboarded gables; the left gable has concealed timber framing, while the right gable has been rebuilt. The rear is constructed of flint with brick dressings. The cottage has an old tile roof and brick chimneys located to the left and at the rear of the right bay. It is two storeys tall and has two bays. The windows are 20th-century paired barred casements, with metal on the left and wooden on the right. There is a small 20th-century single light window in the centre below the eaves. The entrance features an old board door at the centre, topped with a flat wooden hood. To the left, there is a small 20th-century extension made of flint and brick. Inside, the cottage has some slight timbering, including curved wall braces and straight wind-braces.
