Farmhouse. Probably late C17. Porch and west end added: 1717 date, with initials R.H. (Robert Hunter), on panel above door. Byres adjoining east end probably C17. Wet-dashed rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roofs to house, graduated stone flags to byre. Wing with lean-to porch to rear of house. 2 storeys. House 6 bays: Rusticated quoins at east end and full-height gabled porch which has panelled door in chamfered surround; sash to left, original fire window and 4 sashes to right. Sash to 1st floor left, casement in chamfered surround and blocked owl-hole above; 4 sashes to right. Stone copings and kneelers to west end and porch; rendered chimneys at ends of original house and rear wing. 3-bay byre has casement on front elevation and 2 doors to rear. House interior contains some original woodwork (some re-used from other buildings).
