Description

This is a barn located approximately 5 meters west of Ellers in Dent, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from roughly-coursed mixed rubble, featuring through-stones and quoins, and has a slate roof with red ridge tiles. The barn has a rectangular plan oriented on a north-south axis, positioned at right angles to the slope, with a shippon at the north end. The east front includes a central doorway and a wider doorway at a lower level near the north end, both fitted with board doors. The north gable wall contains one small window. The rear and interior of the barn have not been inspected. This barn is part of a significant rural group with Ellers and is included for its group value.
