SD68NE DENTDALE 162-1/10/110 (North side) 14/06/84 Barn approx. 50m west of Lunds Farmhouse

GV II

Formerly known as: Lunds, Barn to north (called Hazel Haw), Barn to south and Barn to east DENTDALE. Barn with shippon. Probably C18; altered. Sandstone rubble brought to courses, with quoins; stone slate roof. Rectangular 5-bay plan on north-south axis, at right-angles to gradual slope, with shippons at lower southern end. Two shippon doorways to the 1st bay and a small window to their left, another shippon doorway on a slightly higher level to the 2nd bay: all these openings with monolith lintels. Shallow segmental-headed wagon doorway to 4th bay, with rubble voussoirs. Rear and interior not inspected. Forms group with Lunds Farmhouse (qv).
