Description

Bridge End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of rubble and has a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features a one-to-three arrangement of first-floor windows. The quoins are prominent, and the main house, located to the right, has rubble laid in deep courses. The bay on the left is likely a conversion of a former farm building.

Between the third and fourth bays, there is a board door set in an ashlar quoined chamfered basket-arched surround. The ground-floor windows, from left to right, include a 20th-century casement, a four-pane sash beneath a deep lintel, and two sashes with glazing bars, also below deep lintels. On the first floor, the windows from left to right are two four-pane sashes beneath deep lintels, followed by two sashes with glazing bars below lintels that appear to be reused ashlar architraves. The building features ashlar copings and has stacks at the left end and above the door. There may have been a small window above the door that has since been removed.

At the rear, there is a chamfered single-light window and a double-chamfered surround of a two-light mullion window on the ground floor, along with a blocked single-light surround at landing level and another blocked single-light surround on the first floor.
