Description
Hencliffe Grange is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubblestone with ashlar dressings and features a graduated stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The corners of the structure are accentuated with quoins.
In the second bay, there is a board door set in a chamfered quoined surround, flanked by eight-pane side-sliding sash windows. A similar window is located in the right-hand bay. All windows are framed in moulded stone chamfered surrounds. On the first floor, the left side has a six-pane casement, the central bays feature 12-pane casements, and the right side has an eight-pane side-sliding sash. The building is adorned with moulded kneelers and stone coping.
There is a large external stepped gable stack on the left side, a large ridge stack situated between the third and fourth bays, and an end stack on the right. The right-hand return of the building has blocked stone mullion windows.
