Description

School house, dated 1835. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone, with ashlar detailing, and has a graduated stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and two bays wide, with quoins. The central entrance has a 6-panel door set within a plain stone surround, above which is a pointed arched blind panel containing the date, sheltered by a simple gabled stone hood supported on consoles. All windows are 4-light casements with pointed arched plain stone surrounds. Above the door is a tablet featuring a bust of a crowned figure. The building has shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks.
