Description

This is a late 17th-century farmhouse. It is constructed of ashlar and has a graduated stone slate roof. The building follows a double-range plan, with three storeys and four bays. It features quoins. The central entrance is a half-glazed door set in a moulded, chamfered stone surround with a four-centred arch and a continuous hoodmould. Above the door is a square tablet with a hoodmould. The ground and first floors each have four two-light casement windows in chamfered stone surrounds, also with continuous hoodmoulds. The second floor has four two-light chamfered mullioned windows. The farmhouse also has shaped kneelers, a moulded coping, and end stacks. On the right return side is a board door with a chamfered stone, basket-headed lintel. The rear elevation includes a variety of windows, with two, three, four and five lights, all chamfered mullioned, some with stepped hoodmoulds.
