Description
Spring End East Farmhouse and byre is a farmhouse and byre built in 1790, featuring a single roof. The structure is made of well-coursed, watershot sandstone rubble and has a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and consists of two bays. The openings are framed with smooth ashlar surrounds. The central doorway has a panel on the lintel inscribed with 'S H' and features a 20th-century door. The windows are sash style. There is ashlar coping on the left side inscribed with '1790', and the building has end stacks. The byre on the right has a doorway with a simple stone surround and a boarded door, along with ashlar coping. On the right side, there are stone steps leading up to a first-floor doorway.
