GRINTON GUNNERSIDE to SD 99 NE CRACKPOT ROAD (north side) 15/35 Spring End East Farmhouse and byre

GV II Farmhouse and byre under 1 roof. Date 1790. Well-coursed, watershot sandstone rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. House of 2 bays. Openings have smooth ashlar surrounds. Central doorway has panel on lintel inscribed ' S H ', and C20 door. Sash windows. Ashlar coping to 1 7 9 0 left. End stacks. Byre on right has doorway with simple stone surround, boarded door, ashlar coping. On right return, stone steps up to first floor doorway.
