Description
Hill End Farmhouse and attached barn were built in 1809. They are constructed from ashlar and coursed squared stone, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The main farmhouse is two storeys high and has two bays, with a lower l-bay wing set back to the right and a lower barn set back to the left. The main house features a central six-panel door within a plain stone surround, above which is a stone panel inscribed with "T A 1809." The windows are sashes with glazing bars, all having plain stone surrounds and sills. The house has plain stone modillions and end stacks. The right wing contains a board door in a plain stone surround and sashes with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds, with an end stack to the right. The left wing is the barn, which has a large board door and a segmental arch with voussoirs.
