Description

The stables and hay barn at Bolton Park Farm date from the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed of rubblestone and ashlar, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building features five bays, with three stables located in the ground floor of the three right-hand bays. Each stable has three board doors accompanied by casement windows on the right-hand side. There are four giant round piers that rise to the eaves, with two located to the right and shorter ones above the stables, each made from approximately four pieces of stone. Similar piers are found at the rear, with a wall extending across to the base.
