Description
Hazlewood Cottages is a pair of cottages that were originally four, built in 1824 with later additions. The structure is made of ashlar and coursed squared stone, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features four bays. There are two board doors in plain stone surrounds located between the central bays, and another two board doors in plain stone surrounds between the central and outer bays. Above the central doors are stone tablets that display the date 1824. The outer bays were added later. All windows are 16-pane sashes set in plain stone surrounds with sills, except for the left-hand bay, which has a 4-pane sash and no window on the ground floor. The building has stone coping, end stacks, and two stacks along the ridge.
