Description
Spring Farmhouse and the attached outbuilding are a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century. The front is made of coursed dressed sandstone, while the sides and rear are constructed from sandstone rubble. The roof is covered with pantiles and features brick stacks. The building has a central-entry plan with two cells and is two rooms deep, accompanied by an outbuilding on the left.
The farmhouse is two stories high with a two-window front, and the outbuilding is a single storey with a lean-to design. There is a central boarded door and a similar door leading to the outbuilding. On either side of the main door, there are two-light, small-pane, horizontal sliding sash windows, and to the left of the outbuilding, there are also two-light, small-pane, horizontal sliding sashes. The first floor has two-light, large-pane, horizontal sliding sashes. All windows have stone sills and heavy plain lintels above the ground floor openings. The gables are coped, and there are shaped kneelers at the ends, which also feature end stacks.
