Description
Hilla Green Farmhouse and the attached cottage are a farmhouse and cottage built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The structure is made of squared sandstone and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. It is two stories high and has a three-window front. The farmhouse has a 20th-century panelled door, with a 20th-century battered buttress to the left. The entrance to the cottage is now located in the right gable wall, while the probable original doorway to the right has been blocked and replaced with an enlarged small-pane window. The remaining windows are 16-pane sashes, each with painted stone sills and plain lintels. The building has a stepped eaves course, coped gables, and shaped kneelers, with stacks at the ends and one positioned right of centre.
