Description

Bridge Farmhouse and the attached barn serve as a farmhouse and post office, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with an 18th-century extension and an early 19th-century barn. The farmhouse is constructed from squared sandy limestone and features a pantile roof, while the barn is made of dressed sandstone with a slate roof. There are stone and brick stacks present.

The farmhouse is a low, two-storey structure with a single-window range and a single-storey outbuilding to the left. To the right, there is a two-storey, single-window extension, and further right is the two-storey barn. The low two-storey range has a four-panel door, with a 24-pane horizontal-sliding sash window to the left and a similar 12-pane window on the first floor, all featuring heavy plain lintels. The outbuilding has a two-light casement window. The tall two-storey front has a 12-pane sash window with a tripartite keyed lintel on the ground floor and a two-light, 12-pane horizontal sliding sash window on the first floor. The building has coped gables, shaped kneelers, and an end stack on the right, as well as a central stack on the low two-storey range. The barn features a stable door with a timber lintel.

Inside, there are boxed stairs to the left of the door, and the doors from the hall are fitted with H-L hinges.
