Description
Low Farmhouse and attached cottage is a house and cottage located in Allerston, built in the late 18th century with later alterations and an extension. The structure is made of coursed sandstone rubble and features a pantile roof with rebuilt brick stacks. It is two storeys high, comprising a three-bay house with a two-bay cottage to the right. The house has a central part-glazed door, while the cottage has a four-panel door and a fixed light window with glazing bars. The remaining ground floor windows are 16-pane sashes with painted lintels. The first floor of the house to the left also has 16-pane sashes, but the cottage does not have any first-floor windows facing the street. All windows have stone sills, and there are stacks at the ends and right of centre.
