Description

Rhodelands is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed sandstone on a plinth, with irregular quoins; the roof is covered in pantiles, and there is a rebuilt brick stack. The house has a two-storey, two-window front, with a lower, two-storey, two-window range to the left. A part-glazed door is situated to the left of the higher range, with paired 20th-century fixed-light windows with glazing bars to the right. The lower range has two-light casement windows. The first floor has two-light, horizontal sliding sash windows. All windows have stone sills, and the ground floor openings have bordered herringbone-tooled lintels. The first-floor windows have thin timber lintels. The roof has two levels, with a stack at the left end of the higher range.
