Description
This milestone, located at the south-east corner of Sunny Bank on Station Road in Marthwaite, Sedbergh, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and has been painted white. The milestone features a square base with chamfered corners and a semicircular shaft. On the left side, it is inscribed with "S / 1" and on the right-hand side, it reads "K / 9 1/2".
