Description
This milestone, located approximately 180 meters west of Archer's Hall in Millthrop, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of dressed sandstone and is painted white. The milestone features a square plinth with chamfered corners, which is currently overgrown. The shaft is semicircular and inscribed with "S / 1" at the top, which is rounded. This milestone is part of a series of 12 milestones along this road, with the others situated in Dent civil parish.
