Description

Millthrop Bridge is a public road bridge over the River Rawthey, likely built in the 17th century and altered since. It is constructed of mixed random rubble and features two segmental arches of unequal span, with the northern arch being shorter. The arches have rubble voussoirs and spring from a pier that includes a triangular cutwater on the east (upstream) side and another similar cutwater on the west side, which extends upward to create a triangular refuge on the deck. The parapets have been rebuilt.
