Description

Birks Cottage is likely from the 18th century and has been recently renovated. The walls are of mixed random rubble construction, with some quoins, although the north gable wall is now pebble-dashed. It has a stone slate roof. The cottage follows a small double-depth plan and features a small porch attached to the north gable wall. It is two storeys high and has two windows, both with renewed six-pane sashes and exposed window boxes. The entrance is through a rebuilt stone porch on the north gable. A gable chimney is situated on the left-hand side. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included on the list for its group value.
