Description

The Old Mortuary, built in 1835, was constructed to serve the union workhouse. It is made of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof with ashlar. The building has coped gables and kneelers, along with a small wooden ventilator topped with a lead roof. It has quoins and is a single-storey structure. The north front includes a single plank doorway on the left, while the other sides are blank.
