Description
The Laurels is a house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a pebbledash exterior over coursed rubble and has a stone slate roof. The house has a central entrance and stands three storeys tall with three bays. The front door is a six-fielded-panel design, with the upper two panels being glazed, and it is topped by a radial fanlight. This door is set within a doorcase that has attached Tuscan columns with acanthus capitals, supporting a plain entablature. On either side of the entrance are canted bay windows from the 19th century. The first and second floors have plate glass sash windows set in stone surrounds. The gable has coping, shaped kneelers, and there are stacks at both ends and on the ridge.
